This means that you as a parent receive an explanation about autism.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This can be done in different ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Individually<\/strong>: As a parent, you receive one or multiple conversations in which you get an explanation about autism (ASD).<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Group sessions<\/strong>: You take part in a parent course. You get an explanation about autism, and you can share your experiences with other parents.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>E-health<\/strong>: As a parent, you gain knowledge by following a course on the Internet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of course, you can also look for information yourself. There are several books, articles and websites with information on autism. For example, you can find good information on the website of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.autisme.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Autisme (NVA) (or \u2018Dutch Association for Autism\u2019)\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0or visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.autismejongekind.nl\/en\/lees-kijk-en-luistertips\/\">page with reading, watching and listening tips<\/a>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Als je kind autisme blijkt te hebben, begint de behandeling vaak bij psycho-educatie.
